Refundable Core Charge

If a product you are purchasing has a core charge you will see it in your shopping cart under the product.

A core charge is a little like a bottle deposit. You pay a core charge when you buy a rebuildable product, and get your money back when you return the core.

Cores are the used parts that may be returned when purchasing rebuildable parts. New, used, and remanufactured products may have a core charge. We send cores to our rebuilders to create a remanufactured part. Having a core charge on most rebuildable parts helps us keep our prices low, is a great way to recycle, and ensures there is product available for the next customer. If a core deposit is shown, this charge will be added to your total at the time of sale but is refundable upon the return of your rebuildable original part. Cores are valuable to us; we need them back on a timely basis to be rebuilt so we have product to sell to the next customers. (See core return policy under warranties and return for more info)

VW Beetle carburetor conversion kit. The Progressive Carburetor Kits convert your Beetle or Bus to a 2 barrel set up. These will let you cruise around town with the efficiency of a 1-barrel, but will open up to a high performance 2-barrel carb when you want to punch it. The VW carburetor conversion kits include a Carburetor with electric choke, intake manifold, and chrome air cleaner with gauze element, fuel line, hardware, and uni-link linkage kit.

All products carry a 100 day warranty. Engines, cylinder heads, and injection pumps carry an extended 12 month warranty. See our warranty page for details.
Do-it-Yourself Tip

When you install this VW Beetle carburetor conversion kit, perform a proper tune up. This will make sure you are getting all the extra horsepower out of your hopped up Bug. If you already have done the Weber conversion we carry the special air filter for this kit too.
