Refundable Core Charge

If a product you are purchasing has a core charge you will see it in your shopping cart under the product.

A core charge is a little like a bottle deposit. You pay a core charge when you buy a rebuildable product, and get your money back when you return the core.

Cores are the used parts that may be returned when purchasing rebuildable parts. New, used, and remanufactured products may have a core charge. We send cores to our rebuilders to create a remanufactured part. Having a core charge on most rebuildable parts helps us keep our prices low, is a great way to recycle, and ensures there is product available for the next customer. If a core deposit is shown, this charge will be added to your total at the time of sale but is refundable upon the return of your rebuildable original part. Cores are valuable to us; we need them back on a timely basis to be rebuilt so we have product to sell to the next customers. (See core return policy under warranties and return for more info)

If you have any concerns or questions about the core charge or shipping charges, please call us at 586.757.2300.

VW brake hose. Brake hoses have a tough job. They have to be stiff enough to pass along the fluid pressure so that the brakes work, while at the same time being exposed to road spray and salt, and must flex with every bump and turn in the road. Of course they wear out! When they do the brake pedal will feel soft and the car may even want to pull to one side when you first step on the pedal.

Condition: New

Warranty

All products carry a 100 day warranty. Engines, cylinder heads, and injection pumps carry an extended 12 month warranty. See our warranty page for details.

Do-it-Yourself Tip

This VW brake hose is not difficult to change, but you will need to have some new brake fluid ready to bleed air out and top the system back up when you are done. Using the right tools will always make any job easier, the brake bleeder wrench shown is sized to fit the popular size bleed valves found in VWs.
