Refundable Core Charge

If a product you are purchasing has a core charge you will see it in your shopping cart under the product.

A core charge is a little like a bottle deposit. You pay a core charge when you buy a rebuildable product, and get your money back when you return the core.

Cores are the used parts that may be returned when purchasing rebuildable parts. New, used, and remanufactured products may have a core charge. We send cores to our rebuilders to create a remanufactured part. Having a core charge on most rebuildable parts helps us keep our prices low, is a great way to recycle, and ensures there is product available for the next customer. If a core deposit is shown, this charge will be added to your total at the time of sale but is refundable upon the return of your rebuildable original part. Cores are valuable to us; we need them back on a timely basis to be rebuilt so we have product to sell to the next customers. (See core return policy under warranties and return for more info)

These are the best darn manuals you will ever find, short of talking to the engineers who designed your car. The Bentley Manual DVD is laid out in a readable, understandable way and is full of illustrations, diagrams, wiring schematics, electrical test values, etc. These new DVD versions are even more convenient than the printed manuals. The first time you use this DVD you will save enough money to pay for the cost! We hype these because we believe this is one of the most important things you need to completely trouble-shoot and repair your VW by yourself. Knowing what you are doing is way better than guessing!

Make sure your computer is up for the minimum system requirements posted below. DVD and CDs are not refundable once opened. The software loads all contents onto the hard drive.

Native Windows Personal Computer (PC) with DVD drive
Intel® Pentium® 4 processor or higher
Windows® 2000 with Service Pack 2 or Windows® XP (Vista not supported)
256 MB RAM
Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6 or 7
Up to 600 MB of available hard disk space (700 MB recommended)
DVD drive needed for software installation only. eBahn Reader and content can be installed on local hard disc.
Windows x32 (32 bit) mode is supported. 64 bit installations are not supported (64 bit is rare. You almost certainly know if you are running x64).

Do-it-Yourself Tip

The VW Phaeton Bentley Manual DVD will tell you what to do with fault codes you find by using a VAG-COM scan tool. The VAG-COM scan tool reads diagnostic trouble codes from your on board computer, and is much cheaper than a trip to the dealer.
